Requirements for a BA in Mathematics:

• All majors must take the following courses:
  
  MTH 1410 Calculus I
  MTH 1420 Calculus II
  MTH 2210 Introduction to Mathematical Thought
  MTH 2310 Linear Algebra
  MTH 3960 Historical Development of Mathematics
  CSC 1710 Introduction to Programming
• Select one course from:
  
  MTH 4110 Abstract Algebra
  MTH 4310 Introduction to Real Analysis
  
• Select three MTH elective from 2000-level or higher:
  
  MTH 2410 Calculus III
  MTH 3110 Mathematics of Finance
  MTH 3150 Probability
  MTH 3410 Differential Equations
  MTH 3510 Complex Variables
  MTH 3710 Geometry
  MTH 3810 Combinatorics
  MTH 3910 Numerical Methods
  MTH 4010 Number Theory
  MTH 4110 Abstract Algebra - If not used in section 2
  MTH 4210 Introduction to Topology
  MTH 4310 Introduction to Real Analysis - If not used in section 2
  
• Note: If a student is obtaining teacher certification in mathematics, the student must select MTH 3710 Geometry, as one of their selections in elective courses.
