Requirements for a BS in Mathematical Economics:

  • All majors must take the following courses.

    ACC 2010 Financial Accounting
    ACC 2020 Managerial Accounting
    ECO 2030 Principles of Macroeconomics
    ECO 2050 Principles of Microeconomics
    ECO 3030 Intermediate Macroeconomics
    ECO 3050 Intermediate Microeconomics
    FIN 3010 Financial Management
    MTH 1410 Calculus I
    MTH 1420 Calculus II
    MTH 2410 Calculus III
    MTH 2310 Linear Algebra
    MTH 3410 Differential Equations
    STS 3210 Linear Statistical Models
    STS 3250 Time Series & Forecasting
  • Select either STS 2610 or STS 3200:

    STS 2610 Quantitative Methods
    STS 3200 Mathematical Statistics and Data Analysis
  • PLUS: Select three ECO electives at the 3000-level or higher
    OR MTH 4910 and MTH 4920 Undergraduate Research I/II and two ECO electives at the 3000-level or higher [excludes ECO 3740].
Students will be advised in electing additional courses that will complement their career goals.
